I would rate this stay 3.75 stars if possible. The location and unit condition are great, but the mgmt. process needs work. I did not give 5 stars bc:1.Check-in Issues: No instructions were sent automatically (though there may have been a VRBO error). I had to follow up multiple times, as well as the morning of check-in to get the details.2.Poor Communication: Lack of texting response from the Owner. I had to call to receive a response when looking for check-in info. Was then told he would text me the info that evening, but never did (received it the following day after I reached out again- the morning of arrival).3.Delayed Entry: We couldn't access the room until 5:15 PM. The unit wasn't ready at check-in due to a sick cleaner. We had to call the Owner, who said he was aware, and that he was on his way to clean the unit. My family had been walking around Blue Ridge all morning, and were tired and wanting to rest and shower before our dinner reservations, but were unable to because of not being able to check-in on time. Also, instead of prioritizing our unit, the owner cleaned multiple units simultaneously instead of focusing on ours (we were the only group onsite at the time, with another group checking in later that night). 4.Service Recovery: We asked for a late check out of 1pm to make up for the 2 hours we could not access the unit, the Owner provided us a flex hourpark.Great stay, and the Owner was very nice, but the hosting logistics were frustrating.
